Collection History
- Acquisition:
The items which formed the basis of the Princetoniana Collection were previously held in Firestone Library's Princetoniana Room. In 1972, the bulk of this collection was moved from this space and transferred to the Library Annex in Fine Hall while certain items remained in the Department of Rare Books. In 1977, books in call number range P00-P93 were transferred to Mudd Library. In 1991, Princeton-related items from the remaining P94-P999 books were picked from the Annex location and brought to Mudd.
- Custodial History
The core group of items which formed the basis of the Princetoniana Collection were originally housed in the Princetoniana Room (later known as the Robert Taylor Room) in Firestone Library. In 1972 the Princetoniana books were transferred to the Fine Hall Annex library.
