Consists of publications, event information, and other informational materials about the Program in Latin American Studies. Also included are the records of the Helen Doherty Lassen Fellowship, awarded annually to a student in the Program in Latin American Studies and video recordings of PLAS conferences and seminars from 1992-2001.

Through course offerings, programming, and cultural events the Program in Latin American Studies offers students the opportunity to study the culture and history of the region from multiple perspectives.

Materials older than 40 years that do not pertain to student academic performance or discipline, trustee issues, or faculty personnel matters are open. Subseries 1A: 1992 Accession of Helen Doherty Lassen Fellowship Records, 1947-1976 contains student records and faculty personnel files that are restricted for 75 years from date of creation.

Restrictions beyond 40 years are noted in the relevant series or subseries descriptions and in the folder list.
