Ledger book kept by Francisco Ignacio de Iraeta between 1760 and 1783 of his
commercial affairs. The ledger contains a listing, alphabetically by first
name, of Iraeta's various clients, as well as detailed ongoing records of his
business transactions with them. Running accounts of the quantities and prices
of goods/products sold to and for this individual are supplemented by
individual records of Iraeta's large, single purchases of good (to be resold).
There are also records of Iraeta's accounts with relatives, in particular one
of his expenditures on a nephew's education in Mexico (Josef Igancio de
Iturbe). A few notations were made on certain accounts considerably later, in
1808-09 by Gabriel de Iturbe. In addition, the ledger book contains a few loose
business letters and accounts dating from 1770. (Bound in leather, with some
original ledger sheets included in plastic sleeves.)
