Abstract
Rudolf Ladenburg was a German-born scientist who became a nuclear physicist at Princeton University until his retirement in 1950. The collection contains some of Ladenburg's manuscripts, lecture and course notes, and notes on nuclear physics.

The collection contains selected manuscripts of Ladenburg with special emphasis on lecture and laboratory courses in physics taught at Princeton University in the 1940s. Included are Ladenburg's notes on nuclear physics and a bibliography of his works, as well as printed copies of some of them.

Ladenburg
Physicist Ladenburg, son of eminent German chemist Albert Ladenburg, was born in Germany in 1882. His most original work was on the anomalous dispersion of gases, completed before 1931 when he came to Princeton where his interest turned to nuclear physics. He retired in 1950.
