Correspondents include William F. Dix of Town and Country, A. Howry Espenshade, Andrew H. Hershey of the New Era Printing Company, the book binders Haddon & Company, Charles W. Mcalpin, Andrew Cunningham McLaughlin of The American Historical Review, New York historian Victor Hugo Paltsits, Moses Taylor Pyne (Princeton Class of 1877), Princeton University librarian Dr. Ernest C. Richardson, John Rogers William (general editor of the Princeton Historical Association), Howard Solberg of the Library of Congress, Henry Romeike's Press Cuttings, the Brandt Press, Bliss Perry (editor of The Atlantic Monthly), and Robert Sterling Yard of The Lamp, printers for the third volume. Included are several letters (1900) from Eleanor F. Noel, a descendant of Freneau, providing information about the history of the Freneau family and a pencil drawing of the Freneau coat-of-arms, as well as a handwritten list (8 pp.) of newspapers, historical societies, and other institutions or individuals that were to receive the Freneau circular. There is also a two-page list of "Freneau Descendants." In addition, the collection includes copyright information from the Library of Congress and a copy of the Freneau promotional circular for the first volume.
