Fine Books for Children ; Fine Books for the Child's Permanent
Library . Early catalogs from the first American publishing house
dedicated solely to children's books. Inside the front cover of the 1935
issue is a quote by May Lamberton Becker published in the New York
Herald Tribune: "[Holiday House is] trying, in its own quiet way, to
make its children's books notable examples of typography and thus to
