Heavily detailed catalogs: many titles are advertised with a both a full-page illustration and a full-page description. All illustrated in black and white with at least a few photographic illustrations. Catalogs aimed at children as well as adult buyers: 1931 issue advertises itself as "a picture book of all the new books" available; 1937 issue oriented in landscape to read like a picture book. 1932 issue stamped "The Tuttle Company, Rutland, Vermont." Of special note: 1944 issue includes subject headings for "Our Armed Forces" and "Our Fighting Men," as well as a volume titled "Peoples of the USSR" by Anna Louise Strong, advertised with a Stalin quote: "The greatest wealth of a land is people."
