Description

Series 8, Scrapbooks, 1932-1993, contains scrapbooks compiled mainly by Ruth M. Ball. Mrs. Ball chronicled her husband's career by retaining various newspaper clippings, press releases and travel itineraries. During his tenure as under secretary of state, she also created “social scrapbooks,” which consist of invitations, correspondence, programs, clippings, and press releases that focus more on her activities but do include events attended by both her and her husband. This series also includes is a scrapbook received from the Pakistani government after a 1963 visit.
