Description

Series 5, Photographs, Audiovisual, and Oversized, 1953-1977, includes photographs of board members, staff, events, book covers, authors and illustrations. The arrangement of the photographs mirrors the overall arrangement of the collection: board of directors; United States; international; and titles. Several of the photographs were used in the newsletters or annual reports. The audiovisual material contains three films on the Franklin Tehran office, a Books for Bangladesh filmstrip, which has an accompanying phonograph, cassette tapes and United Nations' phonographs. The oversized material includes book jackets, posters and illustrations used for various translated titles.
