The Major Unused Drafts series (a title designated by Kennan) is largely composed of text for lectures, as well as some articles and letters to the editor, which were never published. Others are materials that were not used in works that were published. The majority of these materials are related to the foreign policy or history of the Soviet Union and date both from Kennan's diplomatic and scholarly careers. Other subjects include the conduct of American foreign policy, Germany, China, and responses to published criticism of Kennan.
Subseries 4D: Major Unused Drafts; 1933-1978; George F. Kennan Papers, Public Policy Papers, Department of Rare Books and Special Collections, Princeton University Library.
