Consists of selected papers of Vandewater (Princeton Class of 1907) relating to his participation (1918-1919) as a captain in the 160th Infantry Brigade of the 80th Division of the American Expeditionary Forces in France where they were attached to British Army forces.

Consists of selected papers of Vandewater (Princeton Class of 1907) relating to his participation (1918-1919) as a captain in the 160th Infantry Brigade of the 80th Division of the American Expeditionary Forces in France where they were attached to British Army forces. Included are dispatches, operation reports, battlefield orders and instructions, personnel lists, recommendations for meritorious service awards, and reports concerning the battles at Arras, St. Mihiel, Meuse Argonne, and Bethincourt.

William Collins Vandewater was a member of the Princeton University Class of 1907 and, from 1918 to 1919, was a captain in the 160th Infantry Brigade of the 80th Division of the American Expeditionary Forces in France where they were attached to British Army forces.
