Biography and History
Theophilus Parvin III, a Presbyterian missionary from Buenos Aires, Argentina , was born in 1799. He was the son of Theophilus Parvin Jr. and Bathsheba Clark. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1818. Theophilus Parvin III married Mary Caesar Augustus Rodney in 1826, and shortly after their marriage they returned to Buenos Aires. Together they had one daughter, Mary, and one son, also named Theophilus, born in 1829. Theophilus Parvin III died on 15 December 1835 at Cumberland Co., N.J., and was buried at Old Stone Church Cemetery in Cumberland County.
