Biography and History
Prof. José F. Buscaglia-Salgado is the son of the well- known Puerto Rican educator and sculptor José Buscaglia Guillermety. He graduated from Princeton University in 1986 and is currently the director of the Program in Caribbean Studies at the State University of New York at Buffalo. In 2002 Buscaglia was influential in the establishment of the first degree-granting graduate program to be jointly administered by Cuban and U.S. universities, the University of Havana and the State University of New York at Buffalo.
