Biography and History

Barton Gellman has worked as a journalist since high school and spent twenty one years at the Washington Post, where he one many awards for journalism, including the Pulitzer Prize. After leaving in 2010, Gellman came to the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs where he serves as a lecturer and writer-in-residence. Gellman authored Contending with Kennan: Toward a Philosophy of American Power in 1995 and Angler: The Cheney Vice Presidency in 2008. He is a graduate of Princeton University and University College, Oxford.
