Biography and History

Antones Dekavalles (also spelled Andonis Decavalles) is a renowned Greek poet and scholar. He co-edited The Charioteer, a review of modern Greek culture, from 1961 to 1983, and was a professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey until 1991. He has published several critical studies of Greek writers, including Odysseus Elytis: From the Golden to the Silver Poem, and has authored several collections of Greek poetry.
