Biography and History
During a long career as a journalist, Carlton Beals visited forty-two countries and covered revolutions and guerilla uprisings in Mexico, Nicaragua, and Cuba, as well as Mussolini's rise to power in Italy. He held many teaching posts in the U.S. and Latin America, was the author of numerous books, and a member of various educational and archaeological expeditions throughout the world.
