Krueger, John Richard, 1927--
Biography and History
Born in Shaimurzino Village, Chuvashia (USSR), located in central Russia, Gennadiĭ Aĭgi was a poet and translator. From 1953 to 1959, Aigi studied at the Gorky Instiutute of Literature in Moscow. His poetry was written in Chuvash, the language of the Turkic Chuvash people that comprise the majority of the population of the Chuvashia region.
