Biography and History

A graduate of Princeton University (Class of 1927), Aaron Marc Stein was a prolific detective fiction writer who wrote under the pseudonyms of George Bagby (the Inspector Schmidt series) and Hampton Stone (stories about N.Y. Assistant DA Jeremiah Gibson). Under his own name Stein created the archaeologist detectives Timm Mulligan and Elsie Mae Hunt. Stein died in 1985.
