Biography and History
Marshall Curtis Brown was the son of Curtis Brown, who in 1905 started the Curtis Brown Literary Agency in London, and later established the U.S. branch of Curtis Brown Ltd. in New York City in July of 1914. Brown was a member of the 15th Battery, 18th Division, of the British Expeditionary Force fighting in Belgium during World War I.
