Biography and History
Barton Wood Currie was an American reporter, editor and book collector. He wrote essays on food and home economics for Good Housekeepingmagazine (1909-1911). He was editor for Ladies' Home Journaland wrote a page on farming for Country Gentlemen, both publications of the Curtis Co. in Philadelphia. Currie joined Doubleday, Doran& Co. in 1928, and became editor of their business magazine, World's Work. He also wrote and edited non-fiction books including Fishers of Books, which is about book collecting, and Booth Tarkington, A Bibliography.
