The public website of the Association of Latino Princeton Alumni provides information to the general public and the alumni communities about the organization's leadership, membership, and events. The site also contains information compiled by Latino alumni in their advocacy efforts to establish a Latino/a Studies Program at Princeton.
Series 2: Latino Studies Program, 2008 February 27 - 2008 June 24 83 digital files
Series 2 is comprised of records documenting the 2008 efforts of Latino alumni in their advocacy for the creation of a Latino Studies Program at Princeton. These records, which were maintained and used by Robert L. Hernandez (Princeton Class of 1969), consist of correspondence, meeting notes, and presentation files circulated amongst the alumni involved as well as members of the University administration, including then-president Shirley Tilghman. The advocacy efforts succeeded, resulting in the creation of the Program in Latino Studies in 2009.
Series 1: Administrative Files and Program Records consists of documents created and used prior to and soon after organization's inception in 1989, including its original constitution (as the Latino Alumni Association of Princeton, LAAP), correspondence, and meeting minutes. This series also contains newsletters, clippings, resource guides, and a brief history of Latinos at Princeton.
