Consists of manuscripts (and related correspondence) of works by Princeton chaplain Ernest Gordon that chronicle his World War II Japanese prisoner-of-war experience and his chaplaincy at Princeton University.

Consists of Robert Moore's files on Ernest Gordon (1916-2002), WWII veteran, author, and former Presbyterian dean of the Princeton University chapel, including correspondence, applications, programs, clippings, and other materials relating to Moore's nomination of Gordon for the 2002 Templeton Prize for Progress in Religion; the motion picture "To End All Wars" (2001) based on Gordon's book "Through the Valley of the Kwai" (1962) (including the DVD); Gordon's death; and CREED (Christians Efforts for the Emancipation of Dissidents). Correspondents include Gordon and other notable figures.

The Faculty Oral History Project was conducted by Richard Challener, Class of 1944, under the direction of Princeton University Archivist Ben Primer. The collection consists of audio files of interviews with faculty members of Princeton University about their experiences at Princeton.

The religious interests of members of the University are served through the offices of the Dean of Religious Life and the Chapel, which work with chaplains of different denominations and faiths on a variety of activities. The Dean of the Chapel records document the activities of the Office and the Chapel and include former dean files, historical material, minutes, and marriage, birth, baptism, and death records as well as adminsitrative files and programs of services and concerts.

Consists of eleven Betacam video tapes containing an interview of Ernest Gordon (1916-2002) about his capture and internment in the Japanese camps in Burma and Siam (now Myanmar and Thailand) during World War II, along with raw scenes, stills, and B-roll. The videos were shot in the Princeton University Chapel in May 1991 by Windborne Productions, which was then working on a project to turn Gordon's book Through the Valley of the Kwai into a feature film.
