Consists of correspondence and documents of carpenter-architect Robert Smith, the leading building professional in Philadelphia in the eighteenth century, chiefly concerning the building of Nassau Hall at The College of New Jersey (now Princeton University) and the house of the college president.

The collection contains representations of Nassau Hall and other historic buildings of Princeton University. Most of them are reproductions, some photographic.

Consists chiefly of correspondence between New Jersey mayor and governor Joseph Bloomfield and Nicholas Biddle, David Brearley, Aaron Burr, Thomas P. Johnson, Samuel McLane, Edward Miller, and Rev. Andrew Hunter.

Consists of correspondence (approximately 125 letters) between Joseph Lea (Princeton Class of 1802) and his father, Thomas Lea.

Consists primarily of correspondence of nineteenth-century American astronomer Stephen Alexander.
