Series 2: Photographs, 1918-1991
These include Gibran's studio on West 10th street in New York, his desk at the studio; photos of his grave, the Cedars of Lebanon; and photos of pages from the manuscript The Prophet. Also includes a copy of photograph of Gibran, his bedroom as a child in Lebanon, and a copy of a photograph of Gibran's bedroom which was transported from his New York City Studio apartment to the Museum in Bsharri, Lebanon. Many of the photographs are inscribed on the verso by Shehadi.

William H. Shehadi Collection of Kahlil Gibran, 1918-1991 (mostly 1918-1931)
Consists of manuscripts, photographs, and ephemera by and about the Lebanese-American philosophical essayist, novelist, mystical poet, and artist Kahlil Gibran, who, by fusing elements of Eastern and Western mysticism, achieved lasting fame with such poetic works as The Prophet (1923) and Jesus, the Son of Man (1928). This material was collected by William H. Shehadi.

Correspondence, 1926-1974
Consists of postcards and cards sent to Elizabeth Dodge Clarke from Turkey and the Middle East. Many of the cards are Christmas and New Year's greetings. Others discuss reminiscences of Clarke's time in Istanbul or updates on the correspondents' lives. Some postcards feature photos of the correspondents and about half of the cards are undated.

Consists of photographs of the Robert College campus and students. Also includes a program from the 1943 Alumni Banquet and a group of postcards depicting Istanbul that were used for a "Guessing Contest."
Istanbul, circa 1918-1949
Photographs, postcards, and a scrapbook depicting sites, landscapes, and people of Istanbul. The scrapbook contains photographs of street vendors in Istanbul and the musical notation of their chants; it was compiled by Edgar Fisher, Jr., the son of the dean of Robert College. Also includes a 1956 pamphlet about the Kariye Mosque, of which there are several photographs, and a small, signed handpainted card of a view of Istanbul.

There is a file from 1946-1949 of general corresondence and miscellaneous documents with a notation "Things I would like to discard. Efd" which appears to be written by the secretary of Storer B. Lunt, who served as both Secretary-Treasuer and Vice-President.

There is a file of completed business from 1956-1958, and for the year of 1958-1959 there are folders of files not included in other years. In addition, there are also miscellaneous items including constitutions and memebership lists from 1941-1958, menus from the 1957 Christmas party, 4 account books, an attendance ledger, 4 checkbooks, blank and returned checks, meeting minutes from 1941-1947, and 4 rubber stamps with the address of the club's bank and the name of the secretary-treasurer.

Contains documents transferred from 5 wooden/cardboard file boxes labeled "Pub L Club" and numbered "1-5". The materials consist largely of general correspondence and bills, with the material from "box 2" consisting largely of bills, form letters,a ledger, and minutes relating to club meetings/dinners at the Yale Club of New York City from 1930-1941 and 1946-1955 (ledger dates). Material from "box 5" consists of meeting minutes from 1915-1936 and constitutions and member lists from 1916-1917, 1919, 1924-1926, and 1934-1936. Material is organized into folders which are grouped based on the box that the material came from; most material is organized roughly by date though alphabetical dividers were used to separate the years.

William F. Shellman was a member of the Dept. of Architecture faculty at Princeton University faculty forty years (1946-1986).
