Edwin W. Kemmerer (1875-1945), internationally known as "The Money Doctor," was an economist and government advisor with expertise in finance and currency. Kemmerer served as a financial advisor to many governments, mostly in Latin America, and spent the majority of his academic career at Princeton University. Kemmerer's papers document his advisory and scholarly career and include his professional correspondence, writings, and files from his financial advisory work.

Julia Burt Atteberry was the daughter of Maxwell Struthers Burt (Princeton Class of 1904) and Katharine Newlin Burt, who were both writers and established one of the first "dude" ranches in the West. This collection consists of correspondence between various members of the Burt family and some of their manuscripts, miscellaneous correspondence, documents, and journals.

Thomas J. Wertenbaker was a professor of history at Princeton from 1910 to 1936, serving as department chairman from 1928-1936.

Contains records concerning plays directed by Bretaigne Windust (Princeton Class of 1929), mainly for the University Players, of which he was a co-founder.

Following a fire that destroyed the University Gymnasium in 1944, a committee was formed by the Council of Athletics for the purpose of replacing as many of the athletic trophies of the University as possible. The collection consists of the records of the Council on Athletics Trophy Committee, including subject files containing photographs, drawings, purchase orders, and other general information about the trophies.

William Horne and Ernest Hemingway were lifelong friends. Horne met Hemingway while a volunteer ambulance driver for the American Red Cross during World War I. They were stationed in Schio, Italy, and drove together on the same ambulance. After Hemingway's failed engagement to Agnes von Kurowsky, they shared an apartment in Chicago during the fall of 1920. When Hemingway married Hadley Richardson in September 1921, Horne was in the wedding party. When the writer died in 1961, Horne was an honorary pallbearer. Howard A. Loeb served as chairman of the board of the Tradesmens Bank and Trust Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and as representative of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia on the Federal Advisory Council. This collection consists of Loeb's correspondence and printed matter related to these positions.

Consists of works, correspondence, photographs, a journal (1962), maps, computer tapes, and printed matter of Puleston, a professor of anthropology at the University of Minnesota.

Shakespearean scholar Gerald Eades Bentley was a professor of English at Princeton University (1945-1970) and assistant librarian for Special Collections (1971-1973). His papers consists of notes, typescripts, and galleys for three published works, The Jacobean and Caroline Stage (1941-1968), The Profession of Dramatist in Shakespeare's Time, 1590-1642 (1971), and The Profession of Player in Shakespeare's Time, 1590-1642 (1984), as well as various speeches, articles, and correspondence about his works.

Henry Holt was a prominent publisher in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The collection consists of correspondence and manuscripts of authors published by the company, various bookkeeping records, and a collection of photographs, publicity materials, and clippings about Robert Frost.

Jonathan Belcher, was a merchant and colonial governor of the Provinces of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and New Jersey and was instrumental in the founding of the College of New Jersey (now Princeton). The Jonathan Belcher Collection consists of collected research materials regarding Jonathan Belcher's relation to the history of Princeton University and consist of correspondence, articles, clippings, and copies of original materials from Belcher collections held at Princeton and elsewhere.

Robert MacArthur Crawford (Princeton Class of 1925) was an American songwriter and singer. His collection consists of sheet music of songs, mainly with patriotic themes. Some of the songs are in his hand but most of them in printed form, including the U.S. Air Force's theme song, "The Army Air Corps." In addition, there are two packages of records (78 rpm) of his songs.

Consists chiefly of correspondence of the American poet and novelist Maxwell Bodenheim.

The Papers of Andrew C. Imbrie, Class of 1895, (1875-1965) provide information on his undergraduate years, his service as an alumni trustee from 1907 until 1912 (including a period as Financial Secretary of the Princeton University Board of Trustees (1909-1912) during which he had charge of reorganization of the business management of the University leading to the creation of what became the Office of the Controller) and his family's genealogy.

Bernardo Canal Jeijóo was a lawyer and poet in Argentina during the twentieth century. His correspondence consists of letters with other writers and artists about both the arts and everyday life.

The Stella Bloch Papers Relating to Ananda K. Coomaraswamy consists of manuscripts, correspondence, drawings, photographs, printed material, and postcards of the American dance critic, art historian, and artist Stella Bloch (1898-1999). This collection documents the relationship between Bloch and the Anglo-Indian art historian, philosopher, and author Ananda K. Coomaraswamy (1877-1947) who embodied the roles of mentor, husband, and friend. The papers primarily contain correspondence by Coomaraswamy to Bloch, as well as a small amount of other letters. Writing was a vital form of communication for Coomaraswamy and Bloch, especially during their marriage, since they always resided in different cities; he lived in Boston while she lived in New York. There are also drawings by Coomaraswamy and by Bloch, as well as photographs-some taken by Coomaraswamy-that include portraits and assorted images from their travels to India and Southeast Asia. The articles in both manuscript and printed form provide a sampling of Coomaraswamy and Bloch's writings on art, religion, and philosophy. Furthermore, there is a small selection of printed material about Coomaraswamy and Bloch, and a series of memento postcards.

Consists of a group of family papers and genealogical research collected by members of the Blair family, a prominent political family in the United States in the 19th century. Materials relate to Francis Preston Blair Sr. (1791-1876) and his descendents, including Frank P. (Francis Preston) Blair Jr., Apolline Alexander Blair, Francis Preston Blair III, Andrew A. Blair, James L. Blair, Gist Blair, Emily Blair Henrotin, and others. Included are correspondence, documents, genealogical research, photographs, printed materials, and writings related to politics, military service, family history, and domestic life.

The World Press Freedom Committee (1976-2009) was an organization dedicated to monitoring threats to press freedom, focusing on major intergovernmental organizations, especially UNESCO. The WPFC served as a watchdog against limitations on press freedom and provided practical assistance programs to journalists abroad, especially in developing countries, to enable them to establish and maintain a free press. The World Press Freedom Committee Records document the administration and activities of the WPFC for its entire period of operations and include project files, meeting minutes, correspondence, and publications.

Richard Ullman (1933-2014) was a scholar of U.S. foreign policy and international affairs. The collection documents Ullman's career as an academic, his service with the U.S. State Department and the Council on Foreign Relations, and his process of researching and publishing the three-volume Anglo-Soviet Relations, 1917-1971.

Consists of material by and about John Lott Phillips, a graduate of Princeton (1774), a clergyman of the Church of England, and a loyalist to the British Crown.

Alfred S. Dashiell was an American writer and editor. His papers relate primarily to his time as editor of Scribner's and Reader's Digest. Letters, memorabilia, and incomplete manuscripts of Thomas Wolfe appear, along with letters from other authors, assorted correspondence, and papers dealing with the Princeton matters of Terrace Club, Graduate Council, Hibben Fund, and Class of 1923 reunions.

The Paul Elmer More Papers reflect on More's life and career as an author, editor of The Nation (1909-1914), and lecturer at Princeton University (1918-1933) in philosophy and classics.

Consists of letters and other material related to Sylvia Beach (1887-1962), the American proprietress of the Paris bookshop Shakespeare and Company, collected by Jackson Mathews (1907?-1978).

Edward Anthony was a noted writer and publisher in the twentieth century, known primarily for his light verse. His papers include several manuscripts, including an autobiography co-authored with Clyde Beatty about circus animal training and a collection of poems. A few miscellaneous papers, such as letters and a date book from 1928 complete the collection.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is the pre-eminent civil liberties organization in the United States, utilizing litigation, lobbying, and public education to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. These records document the administration and work of the ACLU's national office, regional offices, and legal projects, with particular emphasis on the areas of civil rights, children and women's rights, freedom of speech (and all First Amendment questions), and due process, among many others. The records include case files, correspondence, meeting minutes, research files, and files of staff members. William M. Leary (1934-2006) was an aviation historian who wrote his doctoral thesis on the politician H. Alexander Smith. The collection contains materials that Leary consulted in the process of writing his thesis, along with a manuscript of the thesis.

The John D. Davies Collection on Hobey Baker, located in the University Archives, contains research materials gathered by Davies for the publication, The Legend of Hobey Baker (Little, Brown & Company, 1966). These papers contain correspondence, research notes, manuscript drafts, photographs and printed material pertaining to Hobey A. H. Baker's career as an athlete at St. Paul's Preparatory School, at Princeton University, and as a member of the American Expeditionary Force during World War I. Baker died in an airplane crash in 1918.

Clinton A. Decker traveled to Russia as part of the American Advisory Commission to Russia of Railway Experts (1917) and later became a member of the Inter-Allied Technical Board (1919-1922). The collection contains personal and business correspondence and photographs documenting Decker's travels in Russia, China, and Japan.

Incorporated as The Melody Company by Abraham Meyers in 1911, the firm was purchased in 1967 by Princeton alumnus Charles H. Rose (Class of 1950) and his wife. By offering comic strips--the plates for printing them--to small newspapers, the firm was able to secure advertising space, which it sold to national advertisers seeking wider, more regional coverage. Advertisers knew the firm as The Meyers List; newspapers knew it as International Cartoons Limited. The company was dissolved on 20 March 1997, and its printing plates were distributed to various museums and repositories, including Princeton University. Consists of assorted records of the American Melody Company and its corporate aliases (Meyers List Inc. and International Cartoons Limited), including minute and stock books, corporate seals, scrapbooks of cartoon strips, copies of contracts with advertisers, trademark registrations, and dissolution documents.

George "Bob" Vaughn, Jr., Class of 1919, was a decorated World War I pilot and a pioneer in the aviation field. The collection consists of newspaper clippings, scrapbook pages, photographs, filmed interviews, an autobiographical manuscript and other materials that document the life and aeronautical career of George Vaughn.

John "Judge" Cobb Cooper (1887-1967) was a Princeton University graduate and a pioneer in the field of Aerospace Law. The collection is composed of correspondence and other materials pertaining to Cooper's activities as Curator of Class Records and as an active member of the Friends of the Library and the Graduate Council.

Consists of selected correspondence, passports, and calling cards of the Burr family of Philadelphia.

The Papers of Woodrow Wilson Project, co-sponsored by the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and Princeton University, was a successful project to publish material generated by and influencing Woodrow Wilson; the 35 year project resulted in an acclaimed 69 volume set. The records of the Papers of Woodrow Wilson Project, compiled by chief editor Arthur S. Link and his staff, document the life and times of the former Princeton University president, governor of New Jersey, and president of the United States, Woodrow Wilson, as well as the project to bring together documentation by and about Wilson.

Consists of notes, letters, photographs, memorabilia, and newspaper clippings of Samuel Cochran (Princeton Class of 1893) during the years (1898-1926) he served as a Presbyterian medical missionary in Hwaiyuan, Anhwei Province, China.

C. Pardee Foulke was a prominent Philadelphia businessman. The C. Pardee Foulke Papers on Woodrow Wilson contain an unpublished biography of Woodrow Wilson.

Princeton's Graduate School, established officially by the Trustees in late 1900, began its operations in the fall of 1901. These records consist of files of incidental students who earned less than a full semester's worth of credits, as well as the records of visiting fellows.

Consists of manuscripts and correspondence of Welsh writer Arthur Machen collected by Joseph Kelly Vodrey. It also contains an equal amount of manuscripts and correspondence of Machen admirers and collectors, particularly the members of the Machen Society, founded in 1948 after Machen's death.

Mary Chavelita Dunne Bright (pseudonym George Egerton) was a writer and translator in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She was influential in the late-nineteenth century "New Woman" movement as well as the early modernist movement in English-language literature. The collection primarily consists of correspondence between Bright and various friends, family members, and literary and theatrical colleagues. The collection also contains a small number of manuscripts which include prose, poetry, and biographical notes.

These pamphlets were collected by the Princeton University Library starting from the outbreak of World War I. The collection contains pamphlets published in Europe during and immediately after World War I. They cover a broad range of topics including the economy, the press, the military, arms, territorial disputes, and others. The collection also includes speeches, sermons, bulletins, calendars, and songbooks.

Lindley M. Garrison (1864-1932) was a lawyer who served as Secretary of War for President Woodrow Wilson from 1913 to 1916. Garrison's papers document his service as Secretary of War and include correspondence, writings, and newspaper clippings.

Consists of letters by Laflin (Princeton Class of 1924) to Helen D. Hill, covering his years at the Lawrenceville School and Princeton University, and typescripts of four of his plays based on religious themes.

Consists primarily of the professional papers of prominent late 19th- and early 20th-century American theatrical stage manager and director William Seymour (1855-1933). The majority of papers include correspondence as well as numerous production-related materials, such as playscripts, promptbooks, and sheet music. Family members, particularly other well-known theater figures, such as Seymour's sister-in-law Fanny Davenport (1850-1898), are also represented in the collection through correspondence, production materials, ephemera, and newspaper clippings.

The Princeton Crusader Fellowship is a Christian reform organization founded by a group of Princeton students on Commencement Day in 1912. The records consist of member lists, constitutions, speeches, articles, newsletters, and correspondence of the Princeton Crusader Fellowship.

Consists primarily of the correspondence of Josephine Perry Morgan, her husband Junius Spencer Morgan, her daughter Sarah Morgan Gardner, and various other Perry family members. This correspondence concerns mostly family and social matters.
