Charles W. Yost (1907-1981) led a varied career as a diplomat, United Nations representative, writer, and scholar. He was a member of the foreign service intermittently between 1930 and 1971, after which time he devoted himself full-time to writing and teaching. Yost's papers document his professional life in the Foreign Service, as well as his time in academia, and include his correspondence, writings, and photographs.

The Edward Livingston Papers document the career of American lawyer, diplomat, statesman, and legal theorist Edward Livingston. The collection also contains domestic, financial, and property records of some three dozen others, mostly members of the Livingston/Beekman branch of the Hudson River Valley Livingstons and the Montgomery, Davezac, Barton, and Hunt families; the family surveyor/agent John Cox, Jr.; and an Albany-area merchant Benjamin French, whose forfeited estate ended up in Edward Livingston's hands for debt collection.

Series 2: Syllabi Removed from the Princetoniana Collection, 1826-1947 (bulk 1850-1920) consists of printed syllabi and lecture notes that at some point were classified as part of the library's Princetoniana collection under call numbers starting with P435. Almost all of the items were printed specifically for use by students in classes at Princeton, and are based on lectures given by Princeton professors. They cover a broad range of subjects, including subjects no longer taught at Princeton, such as Law.

This subseries consists primarily of photographs of Indic temples and religious artwork, sculptures, figures, drawings, textiles, jewelry, inscriptions, coins, patterns, dancers, theater actors, and people, primarily from India, and also from Ceylon (Sri Lanka), Cambodia, Java, Siam (Thailand), China, Bali, Afghanistan, Burma, Assyria, Greece, Nepal, Persia (Iran), Tibet, Sumatra, Japan, Korea, Laos, Egypt, Turkey, Bhutan, Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, Morocco, and Nigeria. Photographs show temples and artwork dating from the 3rd century B.C. until the 19th century. Though some photographs were taken by Coomaraswamy, most were collected from miscellaneous photographers, museums, and archaeological institutions, and many are unattributed.

Contains family correspondence with Gwinn's mother, Matilda Bowie Gwinn, her husband's parents, Mahalia Riley and Alfred James Hodder, and other relatives, as well as correspondence with friends and acquaintances, especially M. Cary Thomas, with whom she corresponded writing under many different pet names, Katharine Fullerton and Gordon Hall Gerould, and including correspondence with Gwinn's special Baltimore friends, Bessie King, Mary E. Garrett, Julia Rogers, and Nancy Howard. The correspondence is full of references to Jessie Donaldson Hodder's presence in the lives of the Hodders, as well as references to M. Carey Thomas' reaction to the Gwinn and Hodder relationship.
