Alison Morgan is an acupuncturist and herbalist whose practice is based on her family's organic grain farm, Morganics Family Farm, in Hillsborough, NJ. Morgan believes that healthy living involves taking care of our bodies but also our interactions with the environment. Morgan discusses her approach to health and what it's like to practice Chinese medicine on the farm.

Beth Feehan is a New Jersey native who quickly learned that feeding people meant making friends. Beth has continued to make and feed friends in a variety of roles throughout New Jersey including her work as a Chef, her involvement with Food Corps, Greenwood Avenue Farmers Market in Trenton, Gravity Hill Farm, NJ Department of Agriculture, as the Co-founder of Mireille Delman West Windsor FM, and as a driving force behind the New Jersey Farm to School Network. Here is a bit of her story.

Alfred discusses growing up in the U.S. as the child of immigrants, and attending a Catholic boys school before coming to Princeton University. He reflects on his thesis experience, which caused him anxiety and was left unfinished while highlighting the support from his parents. Alfred also mentions the impact of Princeton on his subsequent career, noting the strong alumni network and the credibility associated with the Princeton brand in various interactions.

B Li discussed the challenges of being one of the few Asian-Americans on campus at Princeton at the time, specifically the pressure to assimilate and Li wanted to avoid clustering with other Asian students to fit in. But Li found empowerment in initiating and leading a seminar during junior year, emphasizing the unique opportunity to start something from scratch as a student. Li also talked a bit about exploring topics of Daoist alchemy and flight symbolism in Buddhism inside Li's senior thesis.

Bing Shen shared insights into his upbringing in Taiwan, Congo, and the United States, and also the challenges he faced as a student, particularly adjusting to the dating scene at Princeton, which was all-male during his time. He emphasized the importance of securing summer jobs—a new process for him upon entering college. But Shen also notes that he felt reasonably prepared overall for Princeton, thanks in part to his boarding school background.

The majority of the correpondence was written by E. D. H. (Dudley) Johnson to Robert L. Patten as Patten completed independent work for his Ph.D. and saught positions in academia, first at Bryn Mawr and later at Rice University. Some letters from Patten to Johnson are interspersed. Sticky notes denote topics Patten identified in the letters as he worked on a eulogy for Johnson in 1996. Topics include work, reading, art collecting, and family.

The coursework folders contain syllabi, examinations, reading lists, and handouts, as well as Robert L. Patten's course notes and typed papers. One folder contains Patten's comprehensive examinations; another contains questions for qualifying exams. The box also contains folders of material from the following courses: a Spenser seminar with Rosemond Tuve; 18th Century Literature with Louis Landa; Introduction to Graduate Methods with James Thorpe; Old English with Jack Campbell; a seminar on 19th-century drama with Alan Downer; Victorian Poetry and the Victorian Novel with E.D.H. Johnson; a seminar with D.W. Robertson; and a course on Renaissance drama with Gerald Eades Bentley. Other topics include: John Dryden; devotional poets; John Webster; Chaucer; medieval bibliographies; Renaissance criticism, historiography, pastoral, and prose; and Samuel Richardson. A photocopy of the cover letter from Patten describing the material is included in the box.

A scholar of nineteenth-century British literature, Robert L. Patten earned an M.A. in 1962 and a Ph.D. in 1965 in the the Department of English at Princeton University. These papers are the files he kept on coursework in the English Department, together with his correspondence with Professor E.D.H. (Dudley) Johnson.

Alfred Eisenstaedt was a photojournalist known for work published in LIFE Magazine. The collection consists of prints made from digital copies of photographs taken by Alfred Eisenstaedt for LIFE Magazine in 1969, when women undergraduates admitted as part of the coeducational Class of 1973 were arriving on campus.

Elyse Graham graduated from Princeton in 2007. The lecture notebooks contain transcriptions of college lectures and seminar discussions, along with some interviews conducted for the Daily Princetonian.

George Law MacKenzie was a student at the Institution of Mining Engineers (Great Britain) as well as an elected member of the Geological Society of London (1902). Consists of three photograph albums containing 148 albumen and gelatin silver snapshots. Two of the albums were compiled by Mackenzie and apparently document a single trip across Europe and the United States with images of cities, mines, and people encountered along the way. Many images have manuscript captions.
