The Cameron Family Papers consist primarily of the correspondence and writings of former Princeton University professors Henry Clay Cameron (1827-1906) and his son, A. Guyot Cameron (1864-1947), with some correspondence relating to Henry C. Cameron's wife, Wilhelmina "Mina" Louise Cécile Chollet (1832-1908). There is also a significant amount of Cameron family photographs as well as some documents, printed matter, and ephemera relating to Princeton University. Famed Swiss-American geologist, geographer, and Princeton professor Arnold Henry Guyot (1807-1884), a relative of the Cameron family through marriage, is also represented in the collection through classroom maps, correspondence, a journal, and printed articles and lectures by and about Guyot. Most of the materials in the collection are professional in nature.

Charles Ruas is an American author, interviewer, editor, literary and art critic, and French translator, who served as the Director of the Drama and Literature Department for New York's Pacifica radio station WBAI-FM in the late 1970s and interviewed writers for radio broadcast and print, including Toni Morrison, Michel Foucault, Carlos Fuentes, Eudora Welty, Susan Sontag, Truman Capote, Buckminster Fuller, Andy Warhol, Mario Vargas Llosa, and others. Included are photographs and documents on Allen Ginsberg and William Burroughs, the St. Marks poetry project, and avant-garde artists and performers. The papers include transcripts and audiocassette tapes of Ruas's interviews with authors and artists, as well as typescripts and galleys of work by writers Ruas edited, including Marguerite Young, and some related photographs, notes, recordings, and correspondence. There are also some translations and other writings by Charles Ruas, as well as a collection of family photographs and papers documenting the history of his family in Tianjin, China, from the 1860s through the mid-20th century.

Includes a notebook of an early draft for the short fiction "Hē nychta chainei" and a photocopy of an uncorrected autograph manuscript draft; a typed manuscript of the same story entitled "The Night, Agapē" translated from the Greek by Stauros Deligiorgis with handwritten emendations. There are also two typed manuscript drafts in Greek; on the verso of the last two pages there is an autograph letter by Pantelēs [Boukalas]. The story was original published in Hē Lexē, 101 (January-February 1991), 21-25.

The Nadine Taub Collection of Sally Frank Court Documents chronicle Nadine Taub's role as co-counsel for Sally Frank, Princeton Class of 1980, in her thirteen-year legal battle after filing a sex discrimination complaint with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights against Ivy Club, Tiger Inn, University Cottage Club and Princeton University, alleging that the clubs discriminated against her because of her gender. The majority of the correpondence was written by E. D. H. (Dudley) Johnson to Robert L. Patten as Patten completed independent work for his Ph.D. and saught positions in academia, first at Bryn Mawr and later at Rice University. Some letters from Patten to Johnson are interspersed. Sticky notes denote topics Patten identified in the letters as he worked on a eulogy for Johnson in 1996. Topics include work, reading, art collecting, and family.

Department of English Graduate Coursework, 1961-1965

The coursework folders contain syllabi, examinations, reading lists, and handouts, as well as Robert L. Patten's course notes and typed papers. One folder contains Patten's comprehensive examinations; another contains questions for qualifying exams. The box also contains folders of material from the following courses: a Spenser seminar with Rosemond Tuve; 18th Century Literature with Louis Landa; Introduction to Graduate Methods with James Thorpe; Old English with Jack Campbell; a seminar on 19th-century drama with Alan Downer; Victorian Poetry and the Victorian Novel with E.D.H. Johnson; a seminar with D.W. Robertson; and a course on Renaissance drama with Gerald Eades Bentley. The Lulu Glaser Papers contains various artifacts, letters, photographs, and other items belonging to Lulu Glaser, a popular singer and actress during the early 1900s. Glaser starred in a couple Broadway plays in the 1890s and later opened the Lulu Glaser Opera Company in 1900, where she produced a number of operas before retiring from performing in 1917. Collection includes materials relating to Glaser's many productions as well as offers insights into her personal life before and after retirement.
