Consists of selected manuscript and typescript drafts, notebooks, and notes, of 20th-century Irish author Brendan Behan (1923-1964), as well as some correspondence and ephemera. The papers constitute the principal archives of the manuscripts of Behan's writings.

Includes handwritten and typed drafts of and notes relating to various works, including books, scripts, short stories, music, articles and essays, and poetry, several of which Behan drafted during his time in Mountjoy Prison and Curragh Camp. Of special note are three manuscripts for Borstal Boy, including two substantial annotated typescripts and a copybook containing what appears to be the earliest preparatory draft written in Mountjoy Prison, Dublin, in 1948, as well as notes in Irish relating to the work. Horton Davies was a Princeton University professor of religion; his wife, Marie-Helene Davies, is author of LAUGHTER IN A GENEVAN GOWN: THE WORKS OF FREDERICK BUECHNER, 1970-1980 (1983). Consists of papers relating to the novelist Frederick Buechner (Princeton Class of 1947) collected or created by Davies.

This series consists of photographs of Helenē Vakalo through the years including her photograph portrtaits, photographs with her friends, colleagues, artists, actors and actresses, academics, art critics, and politicians.

The Helenē Vakalo Papers consists of papers by and relating to the Greek art critic and poet Helenē Vakalo (1921-2001). Included are autograph and typed manuscripts of Vakalo's poetry, lectures, articles, and essays, as well as her correspondence, notebooks, loose notes, and memorabilia. There are also official documents, photographs, awards, printed material, and several works by prominent Greek writers and artists. Of particular importance are the unpublished works and early manuscripts, as well as Vakalo's correspondence with her husband, painter, stage designer, art critic, and writer Giōrgos Vakalo, and with numerous distinguished artists and literary figures.

The Correspondence series is composed of correspondence to and from Lewis over the course of his career. The series includes discussions between Lewis and other scholars about economic issues and recent publications, Lewis's correspondence as an officer of the American Economic Association and as an editor for publications, and correspondence between Lewis and his publishers. The series also contains congratulations and invitations from colleagues, letters from former students of Lewis seeking career advice and describing their work, and correspondence related to Lewis's work at the University of the West Indies, with the West Indies Federation, and while serving as an economic consultant in Ghana.

Consists primarily of letters from Katherine Anne Porter to publisher Arthur Thornhill, Jr., President and CEO of Little, Brown Company, which operated jointly with Atlantic Monthly Press. Also included are office memoranda and correspondence between Thornhill and two other executives at the company, Seymour Lawrence and Peter Davison. Most of the letters are typed and annotated by Porter with manuscript emendations and marginalia. The correspondence between Katherine Anne Porter and her publishers broadly cover questions of her contract and finances, particularly after the publication of Ship of Fools in 1962. In addition to the correspondence are documents related to Katherine Anne Porter's financial and publishing contracts; nine gelatin silver photographs of her; the original annotated typescript of her 1955 preface to The Retrial of Joan of Arc; and a 1968 copy of her foreword to an unpublished anthology of short stories.

Originally established in 1912 as the Self-Help Bureau, the Office of Career Services is an organizational unit of the Office of the Vice President for Campus Life that provides career resources and programming for both undergraduate and graduate students. The records include three bound volumes of annual reports from the Princeton University Office of Career Services spanning the years 1943 to 1977. Topics covered include alumni appointments, work-study, study services and academic support.

Series 1: The Papers of Thomas Jeffersion Project, 1943-1974 documents the Thomas Jefferson Papers Project from its conception and initial proposal in 1943 until the death of its first editor Julian P. John Foster Dulles (1888-1959), was a graduate of the Princeton Class of 1908 who served as Secretary of State of the United States for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. The John Foster Dulles Collection consists of a small group of materials documenting Dulles' connection to Princeton, including materials on his undergraduate career and the Dulles Library.

Consists primarily of letters by Erwin and Dora Panofsky to the artist Mildred Burrage and her sister Madeleine ("Bob").

The correspondence series consists of correspondence received by Louis Kronenberger. Occasional outgoing letters are interfiled. The series is especially noteworthy for including correspondence with major literary figures, including W. H. Auden, Saul Bellow, John Cheever, Malcolm Cowley, E. M. Forster, Graham Greene, Joseph Heller, Lillian Hellman, Irving Howe, Alfred Kazin, Bernard Malamud, Marianne Moore, V. S. Pritchett, Stephen Spender, Eudora Welty, and Edmund Wilson.

Louis Kronenberger was an American literary critic, novelist, and biographer. Contains correspondence with notable literary figures as well as editorial requests and drafts of Kronenberger's writings.

Consists of copies of diaries kept by Blom and his wife, Gertrude Duby Blom, from 1943 to 1959, while searching for Maya ruins in Chiapas, Mexico, in 14 volumes.

Contains admissions records, bank statements/deposit slips, general correspondence, and paid bills grouped by fiscal year. Some years also contain form letters, remittance slips, and current files. There is a file from 1946-1949 of general corresondence and miscellaneous documents with a notation "Things I would like to discard. Efd" which appears to be written by the secretary of Storer B. Lunt, who served as both Secretary-Treasuer and Vice-President.

In addition, there are also miscellaneous items including constitutions and memebership lists from 1941-1958, menus from the 1957 Christmas party, 4 account books, an attendance ledger, 4 checkbooks, blank and returned checks, meeting minutes from 1941-1947, and 4 rubber stamps with the address of the club's bank and the name of the secretary-treasurer.

Herman Struve Hensel (1901-1991) was an international lawyer. This collection consists of two scrapbooks containing clippings, correspondence, press releases, photographs, articles and speeches relating to Hensel's service as assistant secretary of the Navy and to the Army-McCarthy Hearings.

Consists of photographs of Maurice Kelley (while acting University Librarian in 1951 or 1952), the War Service Bureau Staff (1943), a reception for the Princeton University Library (1953), and a photograph of the front of Firestone Library at Princeton University.

Also includes two audio cassettes from the American Audio Prose library of two readings by George Garrett at the University of Cincinnati.

Series 3, Federal Bureau of Investigation Files, 1942-1979 contains the dossiers of several prominent Americans, which were compiled by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Wilson began to collect the files in 1975 after Congress passed the Freedom of Information Act. Besides his own file, Wilson obtained the files of such notables as Vern Countryman, Alger Hiss, Nathan Singer, Duane Lockard, and Wilbur H. Ferry. It was Wilson's purpose to "...show the world how destructive, how stupid and how ridiculous the F.B.I. really is."

Arthur Friedman is an American collector in music and theater. His collection consists of bound scrapbooks of opera programs and playbills for theater and concert performances covering eighty years of regular attendance by Friedman in New York City at the Metropolitan Opera House, Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, and various legitimate theaters.

This collection consists of personal papers of Kostas and Linda S. Myrsiades, including correspondence, autograph manuscripts and typescripts, photographs, printed and audio material.

Consists of xerox copies of typescripts and printed material of several one-act plays and short stories or poems on Greek Resistance with penciled annotations. Includes also a xerox copy of a resignation letter by Aimilios Veakēs to the Board of the National Theater dated 1942 and a bibliography of primary texts and short stories about the "Literature of the Greek Resistance."

The letters in Series 1: Correspondence are primarily personal in nature, though some business correspondence is also included. Most of the correspondence dates from the Birds' time living in the Middle East and India in the 1960s and 1970s, though there are also letters that predate and postdate Eugene's tenure with the Foreign Service. In addition to the Birds' outgoing letters describing their lives to family and friends, the series also contains a large portion of letters that the Birds received from their children and from other Foreign Service families.

Eugene Bird (1925-) is a retired Foreign Service Officer who served primarily in the Middle East. During Eugene Bird's tenure with the State Department, he and his family lived in Jerusalem, Beirut, Cairo, Bombay, New Delhi, and the Saudi Arabian cities of Jeddah and Dhahran. His wife, Jerine "Jerri" Bird (1926-2012), was an activist who started the nonprofit organization Partners for Peace, which sponsored speaking tours by Israeli and Palestinian women throughout the United States. The collection contains Eugene and Jerine Bird's personal and professional correspondence, subject files on the Middle East, and writings, especially pertaining to Jerine Bird's unpublished manuscript on Saudi Arabian women.

This series consists of off-prints, playbills, flyers, brochures, and ballots, as well as clippings and road maps of Greece.

The General subseries consists mainly of correspondence, memoranda, printed material, and reports that communicate the events and transformations that took place at the Tower Club. Some of these events were independent of the Princeton Prospect Foundation, but most are directly related to the Foundation. Also included are fundraising mailings sent to Tower Club members and alumni. The financial statements of the Tower Club are also incorporated into this subseries, as well as Tower Club newsletters. This subseries also contains operating procedures for the undergraduate officers of the Tower Club, compiled by former officers. There are also copies of the by-laws and certificate of incorporation for the Tower Club.

Working in conjunction with the Office of Development, Princeton University's Office of the Recording Secretary receives and officially acknowledges gifts to Princeton on behalf of the president and the trustees of the University, and keeps donors informed as to the impact of their gifts. The files from the Office of the Recording Secretary consist of records of gifts donated to Princeton.

Series 2: Files on Dedications, Memorials, Inscriptions and Donors, 1939-1978, 1991-1992, 2010 (bulk 1959-1975) consists primarily of correspondence and memoranda, along with a limited amount of architectural sketches and other planning documents related to various projects and events.

Harold R. Medina was a well-known judge and active Princeton alumnus. These records document Judge Harold Medina's role as a trustee of Princeton University, a member of the Graduate Council, and a member of the advisory council for modern languages and literatures.

Includes various materials, much of which are related to Hecht's book, Perfidy, such as a typed manuscript of the book under the earlier title, Perdidy in Israel, a book review of Perfidy authored by his wife, Rose Caylor, as well as correspondence, printed materials, such as a first edition stageplay and playbill for Hecht's A Flag is Born, and clippings and other ephemera.

Esther Hoffman served with the Intelligence Establishment of the Department of the Army for over forty-one years. Doris Hoffman worked as a secretary for the League of Nations Commission in Peking, China between 1929 and 1934. The collection consists largely of letters written home by sisters Esther and Doris Hoffman while employed in Peking, China between 1925 and 1941.

The Records of the Franklin Book Programs document the activities of the organization from its inception in 1952 to its dissolution in 1978. For 26 years, Franklin assisted developing countries in the creation, production, distribution, and use of books and other educational materials. Its efforts were based on the premise that through wider and improved education, underdeveloped nations could better utilize their human resources to help eliminate hunger, poverty, overpopulation, and economic paralysis.
