The Department of Psychology dates from 1893, but was not officially established as an independent department until 1920. This collection includes group portraits and portraits of deparment faculty as well as some photos of individuals and locations that may not be Princeton-related.

The records consist of the academic files of former graduate students of Princeton University. The information contained in each file varies greatly but can include grades cards, Graduate School applications, a photograph of the student, letters of recommendation, as well as biographical information, lists of achievements, news clippings, and obituaries. This microfilm contains pamphlets on Brazilian literature and criticism published in Brazil between 1916 and 1991.

This collection contains scrapbooks created by Princeton students which document their social and academic activities while undergraduates.

The dissertations represent doctoral work in over forty graduate departments. They date from 1877 to the present and they are arranged chronologically.

Graduate work in a formal sense emerged at Princeton in the 1870s when President James McCosh added new faculty and graduate fellowships. This collection consists of theses submitted toward the fulfillment of requirements for master's degrees at Princeton University.

Each volume or set of volumes in the Princetoniania Collection is represented in the Princeton University Library Main Catalog, which is searchable by title, author, or call number.

This collection consists of offprints of articles written by Princeton alumni and faculty; however, in some instances the articles are written about an individual alumni or faculty member. The offprints generally consist of journals, published articles, speeches, lectures, sermons, memorials, and articles from scientific journals and magazines.

The Theater Photographs Collection contains still photographs of American actors and actresses as well as scenes from plays and includes clippings and printed matter.

This collection includes some playscripts stamped or addressed by theater agencies in Chicago, New York City, and Hollywood, while others were used at McCarter Theater or by the Princeton University Players. There are wartime scripts from both world wars, as well as government plays from the Federal Theater Project, the Works Progress Administration, and the Department of Agriculture's War Food Commission.

The Dance Subject Files consist of dance-related subject files from early 20th century through 1980s. Among the material are clippings, photos, programs, promotional materials, and dance school brochures.

Consists of files (clippings, programs, books, caricatures, etc.) on people involved in theater, from the mid-19th century through the late 1980s, including actors, dramatists, directors, scholars, and designers.

This collection contains broadside playbills from the United States, England, and Europe.

Consists of miscellaneous screenplays and related materials, such as continuity, superimposed versions (i.e. script translations), release dialogue scripts, and revisions/drafts. There are also a few information packets--these include interviews with and/or biographies of stars, synopses, and various and sundry other materials meant for release.

The Performing Arts Serials Collection consists of serial printed material concerning the performing arts, including circus, dance, film, opera, radio, speech, television, theater, and vaudeville. For the most part, publications are represented by a sample or two issues.

Elias Boudinot was a lawyer and Revolutionary statesman, serving as member of the Continental Congress (president, 1782), secretary of foreign affairs (1783-84), New Jersey congressman (1789-95), and director of the U.S. Mint (1795-1805). The collection consists of miscellaneous letters and documents of Boudinot, many of which concern his land dealings.

Consists of correspondence, a typed manuscript, and printed material related to Willa Cather, one of the most respected American women novelists of the early twentieth century.

Louis O. Coxe (Princeton Class of 1940) was a noted twentieth-century poet, playwright, and critic. The collection contains autograph and typescript versions of Coxe's poetry and sixteen of Coxe's notebooks. Also included are materials for the play Billy Budd, such as notes, drafts, worksheets, galley proofs, and production notes.

Consists of works, some accompanying correspondence, and photographs of poet, essayist, and church historian, Hubertis M.Cummings (Princeton Class of 1907).

Consists of selected correspondence, poetry, photographs, and printed material of and relating to 20th-century American poet Robert Frost.

Consists mainly of correspondence between family members of Arthur L. Frothingham, who was a Princeton professor of archaeology (1886-1905). The collection includes correspondence and family photographs from his father, Arthur L. Frothingham, mother, Jessie Peabody Frothingham, and sister, Jessie Peabody Frothingham. Also present are manuscripts concerning Arthur L. Frothingham's study (ca.1912) on arches in the Roman Empire.

Consists of selected papers of American novelist Caroline Gordon, including some of her correspondence with various family members, friends, and literary associates.

Consists mostly of correspondence among members of the NSDAP (Nationalsozialistiche Deutsches Arbiterspartei) and with Hitler's adjutants Wiedemann and Brückner. Original material from Hitler himself is limited and of no real contextual importance (birthday wishes, New Year's wishes, thanks for wishes made unto him, etc.). There are a few letters concerning Nazi "Judenpolitik" (Jewish policy), some regarding arrests and camp conditions, others concerning scandalous associations with Jews. Military concerns are few and interspersed throughout. The majority of the material, mostly directed to Hitler, consists of wishes of health, happy birthdays, thank you's. Most of the Nazi officers present at the Nuremburg Trials are featured in the collection.

Consists primarily of family correspondence of John Henry Hobart, a bishop of the Protestant Episcopal Church.

Consists primarily of material relating to Ohio farmer Luzern Humphrey's overland journey from Kanesville, Iowa, to the Oregon Territory in 1852, his life there through 1853, and his return to Iowa in 1854, including his journal and 51 letters to his wife in Ohio. Samuel Shellabarger attended Princeton University as member of the Princeton Class of 1909 and was an English professor between 1914-1923. The collection contains Samuel Shellabarger's manuscripts for two biographies and five works of historical fiction, as well as a small amount of miscellaneous material related to his writings.
