The Admission Office has determined who should be allowed to enroll as undergraduates at Princeton University since 1922. The actual composition and the desired composition of each class have been contentious campus issues since the introduction of selective admission. The debates over the value of recruiting and admitting alumni sons, war veterans, athletes, disadvantaged students (especially racial minorities), and women are reflected in the records of the Admission Office. This collection includes a number of reports and minutes, some of which are restricted, news clippings and releases about Princeton admission, historical materials, and a series of Admission Office publications.

The Cyrus Fogg Brackett Lectureship in Applied Engineering and Technology was established in memory of Professor Brackett in 1921 and continued until 1953. The collection contains many of the lectures–both in manuscript and published form–and correspondence with lecturers and potential lecturers. The collection also includes some general materials relating to the lectureship, such as citations, registries, histories, schedules, and short summaries of Professor Brackett's life and accomplishments.

Named in honor of Christian Gauss (1878-1951), one of Woodrow Wilson's original preceptors and dean of the college from 1925 to 1946, the Gauss Seminars in Criticism were conceived in 1949 by Richard P. Blackmur (1904-1965). One of America's foremost literary critics–and one of Princeton's most distinguished professors of English–Blackmur sought to stimulate discussion and the exchange of ideas in the humanities through presentations from scholars, artists, critics, and writers. The collection is composed of correspondence with guest speakers.

The Auxiliary to the Isabella McCosh Infirmary is a volunteer fundraising organization which supports Princeton University Health Services. Founded in 1902 as the Ladies Auxiliary to the Isabella McCosh Infirmary, the group has been responsible for shaping student health at Princeton University for over a century. The records contain meeting minutes, annual reports, correspondence, and subject files which pertain to the McCosh Infirmary, or to the organization itself.

Working in conjunction with the Office of Development, Princeton University's Office of the Recording Secretary receives and officially acknowledges gifts to Princeton on behalf of the president and the trustees of the University, and keeps donors informed as to the impact of their gifts. The files from the Office of the Recording Secretary consist of records of gifts donated to Princeton.

The collection contains representations of Nassau Hall and other historic buildings of Princeton University. Most of them are reproductions, some photographic.

William F. Shellman was a member of the Dept. of Architecture faculty at Princeton University faculty forty years (1946-1986). He taught introductory courses in architecture and the visual arts and courses designed to heighten architectural students' visual sensitivity. His collection consists of his papers, primarily lectures and notes for his classes, but including matted illustrations and photographs of sample forms of architecture, cassette tapes of lectures, slides, architectural drawings, and watercolors.

Consists primarily of manuscripts of Stephen French Whitman (Princeton Class of 1901), as well as correspondence and documents concerning their publication and the career of the author.

Consists of selected papers in Russian and English of Russian playwright, novelist, and storywriter Evgenii Ivanovich Zamiatin, primarily after 1931, when he emigrated to Paris, France. Included are autograph and typed manuscripts, articles, and letters.

Consists of original letters, essays, and articles of George Padmore (1903-1959), a leading Pan-Africanist, journalist, and author. Padmore played a crucial role in developing the Fifth, Pan African Congress, and was also instrumental in organizing black labor movements from the 1930s onwards.

Walter Savage Landor was an English poet and prose writer. This correspondence includes some of his letters to family members and friends and a collection of transcribed letters to and from Landor.

Julia Burt Atteberry was the daughter of Maxwell Struthers Burt (Princeton Class of 1904) and Katharine Newlin Burt, who were both writers and established one of the first "dude" ranches in the West. This collection consists of correspondence between various members of the Burt family and some of their manuscripts, miscellaneous correspondence, documents, and journals.

Consists primarily of letters that American novelist Ernest Hemingway sent to his friend General C. T. Lanham during and after World War II, with related photographs.

Consists of works, correspondence, diaries, photographs, scrapbooks, and printed matter of J. Duncan Spaeth, a preceptor (1905-1911) and professor of English (1911-1935) at Princeton.

Consists of correspondence, documents, photographs, and printed material relating to the professional career and personal life of American psychologist James Mark Baldwin (Princeton Class of 1884).

Consists of writings, correspondence, notebooks, and printed matter of Princeton physicist Edwin Plimpton Adams relating to Meteor Crater (formerly Coon Mountain) in Arizona and the Elliptic Function Formula.

Consists of twenty scrapbook volumes (1927-1937) of letters, documents, photographs, newspapers clippings, and printed matter concerning the observance of Constitution Day (Sept. 17), compiled by David Laurence Pierson, who was instrumental in getting national recognition for that day.
