The series of financial statements and reports includes both university-wide financial statements and statements for various organizations within the university. They cover a period from 1963 to 2004.

Series 2: Council Records contains administrative records of the committees and programs of the Council of the Humanities, as well as the Council itself.

The Council of the Humanities was founded in 1953 at Princeton University to foster teaching, research and intellectual exchange. Consists of materials collected and generated by the Council of the Humanities, including materials pertaining to the Ford Foundation Project.

Series 2: Board Meeting Minutes and Related Materials, 1983-1990 consists of meeting minutes and some associated materials for the board of the Office of Research and Project Administration and the University Research Board. Some earlier minutes from the University Research Board can also be found in Series 1.

Series 1: Diplomas from the Princeton University Archives Oversize Collection, 1749-1998 (bulk 1749-1926) consists of 183 original diplomas and photostats, as well as a small number of blank, sample or spoiled diplomas.

Since its first class of six graduates and one honoree in 1748, Princeton University has awarded over 80,000 diplomas. This collection contains 213 original diplomas and photostats, including executed diplomas as well as blank, sample or spoiled diplomas.

Subseries 4B contains oversize scrapbooks with reviews and advertisements spanning the seasons 1981-1982 through 1985-1986 and Season 1998-1999,

This folder contains photographs of the interior, exterior, and environs of the Princeton University Chapel. Included are photographs of Hibben Garden, the Hibben lectern, a bust of Grover Cleveland, a scuplture of Jonathan Edwards, stained glass windows including the Stevenson window, and services being held in the Chapel. Also included is an aerial shot of the Chapel and the surrounding buildings and a reproduction of a 1935 painting of the Chapel interior by Christine S. Josselyn.

Series 1, Council Administration, 1970-1983, contains rosters of members and CPUC minutes arranged in chronological order.

Series 2, Committees of the Council of the Princeton University Community, 1969-2000, contains minutes of meetings, reports, and correspondence produced by the Executive Committee, the Committee on Governance, the Judicial Committee, the Priorities Committee, the Committee on Resources, and the Committee on Rights and Rules.

Series 2: Files on Dedications, Memorials, Inscriptions and Donors, 1939-1978, 1991-1992, 2010 (bulk 1959-1975) consists primarily of correspondence and memoranda, along with a limited amount of architectural sketches and other planning documents related to various projects and events.

Series 3: Gifts to Princeton, 1963/64-1996/97 consists of copies of the eponymous annual publication.

Lists cover the years 1879-2000.

General athletic files contain published rulebooks and guidebooks for individual sports, especially from the mid-twentieth century and the 1970s, many printed by the NCAA, as well as copies of periodicals such as Modern Gymnast and football programs from Princeton and elsewhere. There are also printed NCAA championship booklets, convention bulletins, manuals, rules and regulations. Much of the material is not specific to Princeton, but some Princeton programs and press releases are included in the football, basketball, hockey, soccer, track, and wrestling files.

The Dillon Gym Library was housed in Dillon Gym, which opened in 1947. Dillon Gym is now mainly used as the headquarters for the Campus Recreation program, and includes various administrative and varsity athletic coaches' offices. The majority of the collection is made up of published material such as athletic handbooks, rule guides and technique charts; athletic organization convention and conference reports; and university publications (sports schedules and programs, admissions material, faculty, staff, and alumni guides and fundraising publications). The collection contains several areas of focus—notably, material on women's sports at Princeton.

The Communications Office's subject files series contains press releases, University publicity and outside press coverage, and, in some cases, departmental correspondence. Subjects include regular University business as well as special events, University policies, individual departments, faculty members, student activities and life, and dealings with alumni and donors. The main body of files is from the mid 1950s through the 1970s. This period covers important developments within the University, including major issues such as student protest movements, the introduction of co-education (1969), and social issues such as affirmative action, the treatment of minorities, and equal access.
