The Dorothy Shipley White Collection encompasses two sets of photographs, one on the life of Charles deGaulle and the other on French Africa. White presumably collected the photographs in preparation for her book, Black Africa and deGaulle (Pennsylvania State University Press, 1979). Mrs. White sent the photographs and negatives of the deGaulle photographs to Princeton in 1989.

Consists of over one hundred photographs documenting the Rowe family in Spokane and Edgecomb, Washington, and Lawrence County, Missouri. Photographs depict sawmills, steam engine threshers, store interiors, Theodore Roosevelt's "Rough Riders," and snapshots of the Rowe family who operated engines and owned farms in Washington state, Missouri, and Kansas.

Rudolf Ladenburg was a German-born scientist who became a nuclear physicist at Princeton University until his retirement in 1950. The collection contains some of Ladenburg's manuscripts, lecture and course notes, and notes on nuclear physics.

Consists chiefly of letters by Alfred Thayer Mahan to his publisher regarding his writings about United States naval history. Mahan was a U.S. naval officer in the Civil War, and his work on the importance of adequate navies and merchant marines influenced the policies and philosophies of national leaders across the globe, including those of the 26th president of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt.

The Princeton Scientific Expeditions Collection brings together original materials from the university archives that document the work of various scientific expeditions conducted under the aegis of Princeton University and its corporate predecessors. The connection with the university ranges from enterprises duly authorized in the trustees' minutes to expeditionary tasks that happen to have been carried out by members of the university faculty, often with little official notice of Princeton as an institution.

This collection includes some playscripts stamped or addressed by theater agencies in Chicago, New York City, and Hollywood, while others were used at McCarter Theater or by the Princeton University Players. There are wartime scripts from both world wars, as well as government plays from the Federal Theater Project, the Works Progress Administration, and the Department of Agriculture's War Food Commission.

Consists of personal papers of archaeologist and art critic Dan Fellows Platt, a member of the Princeton Class of 1895.

The Department of Psychology dates from 1893, but was not officially established as an independent department until 1920. This collection includes group portraits and portraits of deparment faculty as well as some photos of individuals and locations that may not be Princeton-related.
