Series 1: Giles G. Healey Negatives, 1946

This series consists of 14 (8x10 in.) black-and-white negatives of Lacandón natives, their lifestyle in the jungle (including hunting, cooking, and the harvesting of bark), and one image of a mural at Bonampak. They were taken in 1946 under the aegis of the United Fruit Company and collected by Charles Morrow Wilson (1905–1977) for use in publications.

Contains admissions records, bank statements/deposit slips, general correspondence, and paid bills grouped by fiscal year. Some years also contain form letters, remittance slips, and current files. There is a file from 1946-1949 of general corresondence and miscellaneous documents with a notation "Things I would like to discard. Efd" which appears to be written by the secretary of Storer B. Lunt, who served as both Secretary-Treasuer and Vice-President.

Some years also contain form letters, remittance slips, and records of elections and reinstatements. There is a file of completed business from 1956-1958, and for the year of 1958-1959 there are folders of files not included in other years. In addition, there are also miscellaneous items including constitutions and memebership lists from 1941-1958, menus from the 1957 Christmas party, 4 account books, an attendance ledger, 4 checkbooks, blank and returned checks, meeting minutes from 1941-1947, and 4 rubber stamps with the address of the club's bank and the name of the secretary-treasurer.

Contains documents transferred from 5 wooden/cardboard file boxes labeled "Pub L Club" and numbered "1-5". The materials consist largely of general correspondence and bills, with the material from "box 2" consisting largely of bills, form letters,a ledger, and minutes relating to club meetings/dinners at the Yale Club of New York City from 1930-1941 and 1946-1955 (ledger dates). Material from "box 5" consists of meeting minutes from 1915-1936 and constitutions and member lists from 1916-1917, 1919, 1924-1926, and 1934-1936. Material is organized into folders which are grouped based on the box that the material came from; most material is organized roughly by date though alphabetical dividers were used to separate the years.

Celebration Materials, circa 1887-1993, collects invitations, programs, mass mailings, event notices, pins, and correspondence relating to the celebration (similar materials can be found in the first scrapbook in Series 4). A typed draft of President Francis Landey Patton's sesquicentennial sermon with corrections, a photograph album of the event, and a published book of sketches from the celebration by William Silas Whitehead can be found in this series as well.

The study of biology began at the College of New Jersey with the appointment in 1830 of botanist John Torrey into a part-time faculty position; it expanded with the formation of the School of Science in the 1870s; and was established as a department in 1904. The collection primarily consists of the records of the Department of Biology assembled during the tenures of Department Chairmen Edwin G. Conklin and Elmer Butler. Included are correspondence, general subject files, and records pertaining to grants, research endowments, publications, and administrative matters such as budgets and staffing. Also includes sponsored research reports and student grade cards.

The collection consists of letters, essays and orations, reports, memoranda, minutes, proclamations, accounts and class lists, and other documents written by students, faculty and administrators which, along with other administrative records and Trustee Minutes, constitute the earliest records and documentary history of the University. Most of these papers and records were amassed by Princeton alumni Moses Taylor Pyne (Class of 1877) and Bayard Henry (Class of 1876) during the latter half of the nineteenth century.

Series 2: General Files, 1749-1947, consists of a broad group of materials touching on issues relating to Princeton life and history. Researchers should consult the container listing for the best accounting of this series. Interesting items include a letter with the earliest-known account of the College of New Jersey, circa 1749-1750 (see Princeton Alumni Weekly, 3/11/1905); a group of letters to and from Joseph Shippen, Class of 1756, describing military actions in the French and Indian War and mentioning Wolfe, Amherst, Ticonderoga and Fort Duquesne (1756-1758); a pencil sketch of three Princeton students being escorted to the depot after having been suspended for "pumping" a secessionist (1861); a letter by P. Glennon from Washington D.C., dated July 10, 1861, discussing activities of the Union Army prior to the First Battle of Bull Run; a letter from Ralph Vaughn Williams turning down an invitation to compose a work for the Princeton Chapel (1937). There is also a small general file at the conclusion of this series containing unidentified materials.

It also includes an oversized form book containing examples of various forms and vouchers used at the hotel.
