Max Gordon Papers, 1908-1971 (mostly 1950-1965)
Max Gordon (1892-1978) was an American theatrical producer. His collection contains personal correspondence with theater and film notables spanning the years 1942-1971. Also included are production materials, such as correspondence, contracts, summaries of earnings, financial sheets, and miscellaneous notes of plays Gordon produced, including Born Yesterday, The Solid Gold Cadillac, My Sister Eileen, and the film, Abe Lincoln in Illinois, as well as letters and script reports relating to Columbia Pictures.

The Esar Levine Collection of Frank Harris consists of the writings, correspondence, and printed matter of, and relating to, Frank Harris (1855-1931) as collected by Esar Levine (1899-?), Harris's disciple, agent and friend. Harris, an Irish-born, naturalized American citizen, was a prolific writer and journalist/editor who is perhaps best known for his scandalous autobiography, My Life and Loves, which was censored in America and parts of Europe.
Series 2: Correspondence, 1920-1955
Consists of over one hundred autograph and typed letters (chronologically arranged in 8 folders by date), mostly signed by Harris, to his friend and agent, Esar Levine, dating from 1920 to 1930 and discussing various publication and marketing strategies for My Life and Loves in both Mexico and America, as well as personal and financial matters. There are also letters to Harris and Levine from their mutual business associates, and from such notable persons as Otto Kahn, H.L. Mencken, Upton Sinclair, and G.S. Viereck, arranged by correspondent. Also present is a typed copy of a letter from G. Bernard Shaw to Harris's widow, Nellie O'Hara Harris, as well as one folder of her sporadic correspondence with Levine, ending with the news of her death in 1955

This series contains Ortiz de Montellano's documents which were issued to him by various ministries and departments of the Mexican government. The documents pertain to his employment as a publications editor in the Ministry of Foreign Relations and teacher of both contemporary Spanish literature, and modern poetry written in Spanish, in the Summer School of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (Mexico City) from 1933 to 1948. There are also some of Ortiz de Montellano's school records and religious memorabilia.

Douglas Brown (1898-1986) was an economist and Princeton University administrator who was an expert in the field of industrial relations, especially on the subjects of Social Security and personnel and manpower issues. He was one of the leaders in the development of the Social Security program and also served in the War Department during World War II on manpower issues. Brown's papers document his career as a government consultant, as a scholar, and as a university administrator and include his correspondence and writings, reports, meeting minutes, notes, and publications.

Consists of comprehensive working files for a biography of Robert Sundance, which was published by Chaco Press as Sundance: The Robert Sundance Story in 1994. Marc Gaede and Robert Sundance first met in 1986 after Sundance spoke out in defense of Gaede's controversial book Bordertowns, which depicted alcoholism in Native American communities. In 1990, Sundance and the Gaedes agreed to collaborate on Sundance's biography, which they worked on from 1990 to 1993, with Marc Gaede composing the text of the biography from recordings of Sundance telling his story and Marnie Gaede providing editorial guidance. Fifty-four audiocassette tapes containing recordings of Sundance's oral history are present, as well as transcriptions, drafts of the biography in both paper and digital form, and administrative correspondence regarding publishing and editorial matters. There is also a significant group of legal research files compiled and annotated by Sundance during the 1970s and 1980s, which include court documents, clippings, and publicity materials regarding his case, as well as other American Indian rights issues. A smaller group of personal and family papers of Robert Sundance includes other writings by him, correspondence, personal documents, and family and childhood photographs.
