The folder contains autograph manuscript drafts of articles and talks by Nikos Pappas, including: "Hē periptōsē tou kritikou Antrea Karantōnē," "Gia ton Kritōna Athanasoulē" [1979], "Mia poiētria ki hena vivlio" (May 1979), "Logotechnikes tautotētes," "Apo pneumatikē skopia: Giati hypegrapsa tēn ekklēsē tēs Stokcholmēs," "Aphierōma gia ton poiētē tou eikostou prōtou aiōnos" (1934-1935), "Ho Nikos Pappas homilei gia tis ekloges sto Rizospastē" (9 Oct. 1981), "Sergei Alexandrovitch Giessenin," talk on I.N. Gryparēs, talk on the celebration of 25th March, 1821, talk on Boulgarian literature, and a text on Thessaly (Greece). There is also an autograph text regarding the gold medal award that Nikos Pappas received from the municipality of Trikala and a manuscript draft of a talk probably given in [Vraza] of Bulgaria in 2-6-76, according to Pappa's handwritten note on the top of the first page.

Consists of papers relating to post-World War II Greek history and politics, 1940s-1970s, collected by Norma Spector in her role as the public relations liaison of the Federation of Greek Maritime Unions (FGMU) in New York City.
Documents, 1947-1955
Consists of a petition/letter in very small handwriting in Modern Greek of an anonymous political prisoner accompanied by a document in the type of a diary that was smuggled out of the Gyaros detention camp. It is an account of the sufferings of the prisoners from 1947 to 1950: it describes the daily activities in the camp, the living conditions, and more importantly, it names the prisoners being tortured and the guards carrying out the abuse. Also, present are typed transcriptions of letters in English smuggled out in this handwriting from the detention camps and prisons of Aē-Stratēs, Corfu, and Gyaros, dated in 1954 and 1955.

Osip Mandelʹshtam was a Russian poet, novelist, essayist and critic. A member of the Guild of Poets, a radical faction of the acmeist movement in poetry, he criticized the literary conformity demanded by Russia's new communist government.
