Subseries 5E: Biographical, 1923-2003

Lee was concerned with publicity for himself as much as for his clients. He had his office write up a number of biographical sketches on him and would reprint favorable articles on himself for interested individuals. Many of the biographies are rather short and repetitive. Included in this subseries is an interview with Ivy Lee, Jr. concerning his father and a masters thesis on Lee, Ivy Lee: Founder of the Public Relations Concept. The researcher may also want to consult various Princeton University senior theses on Lee, listed under "Related Material."

The records in Series 2: Correspondence and Administrative Files were accumulated by members of the Nassoons Alumni Association and document the group's concert, performance, and recording schedules over seven decades. Found in this series will be letters sent to the Nassoons from other colleges inviting them to perform on their respective campuses as well as notebooks pertaining to the group's administration. The series also contains intermittent group photographs of the organization.

Reports, Sermons, Ephemera, and School Materials, 1890-1997

Materials also pertain to Dubois Morris's missionary work and consist of annual reports to and from the Central Presbyterian Church in New York City, NY, and annual reports from Huaiyuan. There are also sermon outlines, notes, and talks. There are several school papers and a heavily annotated Bible, likely from Dubois Morris's time at Harvard University and/or Columbia University while he was completing his postgraduate theological studies. There are cabinet cards from Morris's time at Princeton, and materials related to his inclusion in the Class of 1893, including Class Day booklets, directories, reunion books, etc. from the decades following. There are a couple of booklets on membership rules and bylaws for other organizations, such as The Pilgrims, the Quill Club, and the Shanghai Tiffin Club. There is a small amount of family papers, including a paper from Dubois Morris's younger brother, James Edgar Morris; and 1997 journal entries and photographs of a trip to Huaiyuan from Robert Morris, Dubois Morris's grandson. The scrapbooks consist of an 1898 scrapbook pertaining to George Candee Buell's passing; a bridal book containing information about the bridal party, engagement gifts, and wedding gifts, with loose scraps and notes; a Huaiyuan photograph album from 1912; and a photograph album which appears to contain photographs from Alice Buell Morris's schooldays and of her travels.

Athletic Rulebooks, Handbooks and Publications, 1902-2003

General athletic files contain published rulebooks and guidebooks for individual sports, especially from the mid-twentieth century and the 1970s, many printed by the NCAA, as well as copies of periodicals such as Modern Gymnast and football programs from Princeton and elsewhere. There are also printed NCAA championship booklets, convention bulletins, manuals, rules and regulations. Much of the material is not specific to Princeton, but some Princeton programs and press releases are included in the football, basketball, hockey, soccer, track, and wrestling files.
