John Cleve Green was a Princeton-area businessman and investor who was a notable benefactor of Princeton College primarily during the administration of President James McCosh. The John Cleve Green Collection consists of research materials compiled regarding the life of John Cleve Green and his contributions to Princeton University.

Consists of 14 negatives (8x10 inches) of the Lacandón Maya by Giles G. Healey made at the same time he discovered the Maya murals at Bonampak while on assignment from The United Fruit Company in 1946, and approximately 1,500 negatives (120 format, 6 centimeters) of the Tzeltal and Lacandón Maya of the Chiapas Highlands taken by Ralph Hilt from approximately 1960 to 1964.

Printed material in the records consist of newspaper and magazine clippings, club membership books, and club histories.

This collection contains over 600 sets of student notes taken from lectures given by members of Princeton's faculty. They represent the broad range of courses taught at Princeton University (known as the College of New Jersey prior to 1896) and include the works of numerous famous faculty and students.

There are several well-known Princeton theatrical groups, but students and faculty have also organized many smaller groups over the decades, both short-term and long-lived. The collection consists of posters, programs, photographs, news clippings, and a very small amount of design and planning materials gathered about campus theatrical groups that are not already represented in dedicated archival collections.

The Historical Subject Files Collection documents Princeton University history and related topics from 1746 to the present. The collection consists of documents in almost every two-dimensional format: articles, books and booklets, clippings, correspondence, memoranda, non-photographic images, notes, pamphlets, posters, and reports.
