Rose, Charles H.
Incorporated as The Melody Company by Abraham Meyers in 1911, the firm was purchased in 1967 by Princeton alumnus Charles H. Rose (Class of 1950) and his wife. By offering comic strips--the plates for printing them--to small newspapers, the firm was able to secure advertising space, which it sold to national advertisers seeking wider, more regional coverage. Advertisers knew the firm as The Meyers List; newspapers knew it as International Cartoons Limited. The company was dissolved on 20 March 1997, and its printing plates were distributed to various museums and repositories, including Princeton University. Consists of assorted records of the American Melody Company and its corporate aliases (Meyers List Inc. and International Cartoons Limited), including minute and stock books, corporate seals, scrapbooks of cartoon strips, copies of contracts with advertisers, trademark registrations, and dissolution documents.

After defecting from the Soviet Union, Peters lived a transitory life in the United States, at one point denouncing the west and returning to the USSR, and eventually retunring to the United States, where she died in 2011.

Also included are original English typescripts of Paz's essay, "The Centurions of Santiago" with corrections and additions from Paz and Fong Wust, an annotated and corrected printed copy of Paz's Apariencia desnuda. Neil Goldstein (b. 1950) and Jerry Feldman (b. 1947) were filmmakers who made a documentary regarding Morris "Moe" Berg (1902-1972), a professional baseball player who also served in the Office of Strategic Service (OSS) during World War II. This collection, dating from 1921 to 1995, consists of Neil Goldstein's working files, including production files for the film and audio and video segments and masters of the documentary; and research on Moe Berg, including hours of oral histories and photocopies of Moe Berg's documents, particularly those created during World War II.

Volcker (1927-) is an economist who has served in several prominent positions in the federal government, most notably as undersecretary of the Treasury (1969-1974), chairman of the Federal Reserve (1979-1987), and chairman of President Obama's Economic Recovery Advisory Board (2009-2011). The collection contains Volcker's subject files, mainly created during his term as president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and incoming and outgoing correspondence from his tenure as chairman of the Federal Reserve. The collection also includes documentation of some of Volcker's specific duties in these two roles, such as records from the meetings of the Federal Reserve's Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).

Louise Dorothee (Dollie) Dyte Chareau (1880-1967) was the wife of the architect Pierre Chareau (1883-1950), who is best known for the Maison de Verre, which was built from 1927 to 1932 in Paris.
