This series contains Bernard Baruch's correspondence files, 1912-1965. The series includes chronological correspondence files, selected correspondence, personal correspondence, general correspondence, and telephone messages.The chronological files are a set of carbon copies of all outgoing correspondence, filed in chronological order. The selected correspondence files contain correspondence filed separately by Baruch for its special significance. The personal correspondence files include notes and letters of a personal nature, some of which are mounted in a scrapbook. Routine office correspondence constitutes the general correspondence files. The telephone messages contain daily records made by Baruch's office of calls received; they indicate instances in which Baruch handled the matter personally.
