The papers of David Aiken Reed (1880-1953) consist primarily of clippings illustrating the political career of Pennsylvania Senator Reed (Class of 1900) during the years 1914-1940 with a few photographs of World War I campaigns, correspondence from President Herbert Hoover, the publisher Henry Luce and General John J. Pershing, Head of the American Expeditionary Forces of World War I, two letters of commendation, a testimonial, three army documents, and printed copies of a few speeches by Senator Reed.

The Writings series is composed of published copies of Kennan's articles, books and speeches, as well as related drafts, correspondence, and notes. The majority date from his tenure at the Institute for Advanced Study, although there are some writings from during his diplomatic service as well. Also included are unpublished works by Kennan and his diaries from most of his professional career and his retirement. The Nadine Taub Collection of Sally Frank Court Documents chronicle Nadine Taub's role as co-counsel for Sally Frank, Princeton Class of 1980, in her thirteen-year legal battle after filing a sex discrimination complaint with the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights against Ivy Club, Tiger Inn, University Cottage Club and Princeton University, alleging that the clubs discriminated against her because of her gender. A significant part of the collection contains legal documents from Sally Frank's co-counsel as well as from defending counsel; research material including minutes, reports, newspaper clippings, campus publications, correspondence, and deeds; correspondence to and from Nadine Taub and Sally Frank, which is restricted until 2016; and from various counsel and judicial members.

The Research Material series contains extensive information collected by Sally Frank's team (as well from the other parties) during the cursory investigation conducted by the Division on Civil Rights in 1980-1981, and again in 1983-1984. The investigation was intended to determine whether a relationship existed between the eating clubs and Princeton University. Thousands of pages of documents were submitted by all parties which consisted of meeting minutes and reports from the Board of Trustees and Dean of the Faculty and reports of the Committee on Student Life, the Committee on Undergraduate Life, the Undergraduate Interclub Committee (UICC), and various other student/club committees and organizations. In addition, photocopies of the deeds of Ivy Club, Tiger Inn, and University Cottage Club, charter information, certificates, and member lists are included here. Memoranda, newspaper clippings, campus publications, and specific court proceedings of other discriminatory cases are also located in this series.
F. Club Histories, 1879-1991

This sub-series consists of the histories of individual Eating Clubs dating from 1879 to 1991. Colonial Club and Ivy Club both have histories that span one-hundred-year periods. Other club histories include Tiger Inn, Cannon Club, and Tower Inn.
Subseries 4E: Notes, 1879-1987

The Notes subseries contains Kennan's handwritten notes, often from research trips to libraries or archives, as well as photocopies of articles and a small amount of correspondence related to his research. Some of the notes were compiled for lectures he gave, or books or articles he wrote, and others are grouped by research topic. Also included is a microfilmed set of bibliographic cards created during the course of Kennan's research prior to April 5, 1973. Most of the materials are related to Kennan's research on Russian history.
The Eating Clubs subseries contains certificates and charters, minutes of the Board of Governors, member lists, and University publications, as well as financial information pertaining to Ivy Club, Tiger Inn, and University Cottage Club. The majority of the information collected was used in the development of over two hundred stipulations of fact and law relating to Princeton University and the three eating clubs involved.

Grover Cleveland was the twenty-second (1885-1889) and twenty-fourth (1893-1897) president of the United States. After leaving the White House he retired to Princeton, N.J where he was a Trustee of Princeton University. The Grover Cleveland Papers consist of collected research materials regarding Grover Cleveland, his life in Princeton, and his relation to the University.

The Correspondence series is composed of letters to and from Garrison in his capacity of Secretary of War with government and military officials and concerned citizens. The correspondence includes discussions of military policy and world events, as well as business pleasantries such as invitations, letters of introduction, letters of appreciation for materials received, requests for photographs and statements, and travel itineraries. The majority of the correspondence is concerned with World War I, including military preparedness, legislation effecting the military, training and cadet candidacy at West Point, enlistments and retirements, awards and medical care for military personnel, and aiding American citizens who were in Europe. The correspondence also discusses other issues that fell under the auspices of the War Department, including addressing violence along the border with Mexico during a civil war, the Panama Canal, the Philippines, a strike in Colorado, and water issues.
