The Subject Files series is comprised of clippings, working papers, reports, and research materials relating to the Latin American countries British Honduras, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Guatemala, Haiti, and Nicaragua, as well as general issues affecting the region. The topics are not covered exhaustively and copies of academic studies and reports comprise much of the series.
The Articles and Book Reviews series contains drafts and copies of articles written by Munro. Most items deal with United States relations with Latin America. Some lectures appear to have been incorporated into this series, however most can be found in Series 4: Lectures. Some publication-related correspondence is included.
Series 4: Lectures, 1924-1971

The Lectures series contains typewritten speeches given by Munro on topics relating to Latin America, often including handwritten corrections and notes. In rare instances press clippings accompany the lectures. Some lectures also appear to be in Series 3: Articles and Book Reviews. The materials found in this series are not lectures presented to Princeton students, but rather are lectures given around the country and in Latin America.
The Correspondence series begins with letters written by Munro to his mother during his travels to Europe in 1913 and Latin America in 1916. Munro's correspondence from the 1930s and 1940s deals mainly with Foreign Bondholders Protective Council matters. The series also contains letters written by Munro's wife, Margaret, (regarding their time living in Managua, Nicaragua), his children (regarding preparation of Munro's publications), and letters from President Hoover and Henry Stimson upon Munro's resignation as Minister of Haiti.

Series 3: Articles and Speeches by Clarence B. Randall includes two volumes of Randall's speeches given between 1932 and 1955 and a report on the economic aspects of internation travel.
Series 4: Books By Clarence B. Randall includes published copies of Randall's books written between 1938 and 1967. It also includes a small amount of communication between Randall and John Foster Dulles regarding economic integration with Canada.
Series 1: Correspondence and Related Materials includes correspondence to and from Scott as well as reports and meeting minutes of organizations where Scott was a member of the Board or otherwise involved.
Series II: "Benjamin Strong Collection", 1924-1950

Series II: "Benjamin Strong Collection" contains documents and reports on the funding and development of the Benjamin Strong Collection of Foreign Public Finance including correspondence between the Princeton University Librarians related to sourcing and obtaining materials for building up the collection.
The Postwar Period subseries includes papers related to the International Monetary Fund and to United States economic relations with, and loans to, Great Britain, France, and Mexico.
The Treasury Department series contains memoranda and correspondence, articles, speeches, and meeting notes. The majority of the material is authored by White, often for Henry Morgenthau Jr., and also includes papers written by Morgenthau and by White for the President of the United States. Please see the subseries descriptions in the contents list for additional information about individual subseries.
The Research and Writings series is composed of articles and notes, and statistics. The articles and notes section contains notes, data, and portions of articles, the majority regarding the analyses of international trade. The statistics section contains tables and index cards of data on currency and deposits, foreign trade, international price movements, and the economies of Brazil, Chile, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, and Uruguay.

This series contains correspondence, publications, news clippings, and writings, mostly pertaining to White's involvement in the Bretton Woods Conference and the subsequent creation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), part of the modern World Bank. Also present are reports and papers authored by White that predate his participation at Bretton Woods, including a copy of his master's thesis. Of particular note are White's notes prepared for his appearance before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). Many of the documents in this series postdate White's death, such as correspondence to White's daughter and sister and a biography of White written by his brother.

This series contains correspondence between Harry Dexter White and Anne Terry White, his wife; correspondence from Harry Dexter White to his daughter Joan White; a photograph album of the family's time in California in the 1920s; about 100 pages from a scrapbook on Harry Dexter White compiled by Anne Terry White; as well as some later correspondence of Joan White Pinkham and Ruth White Levitan regarding their father.
Series I, Biographical Material and Copyright Certificates, contains general biographical material including copies of sketches Hall submitted to Princeton publications, newspaper articles and his own lists of military activities in both wars. Includes Hall's motoring permits, licenses, passes and passports, and legal copyright certificates for his books.
Series III, Correspondence (1912-1963) includes routine, social, personal and business information, both incoming and outgoing. Additional correspondence may be found in Series IV, which pertains to his tenure in Persia, and in Series VII, Subject Files. Business correspondence concerns publication of Hall's articles and books and from his literary agent. Some materials are in French, a few in Farsi. Correspondence is both manuscript and typescript.
Series V, Writings--Published (1912-1959) includes articles and book reviews, as well as drafts of his books. Draft chapters often contain material which was not included in the published volumes. This series also contains intelligence reports and briefs completed during World War I and World War II.
Series VI, Writings--Unpublished (1912-1962), contains articles and reviews submitted for publication in one revision or another. Materials include drafts, speeches, papers, reviews, and reminiscences. Two drafts of Hall's publication on the 12th century pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, Spain are also in this series.
Series VII, Subject Files, often complements his diary entries. This series includes clippings, articles, and background notes which Hall compiled while researching both his professional postings and his writings.
Series X, Josephine Johnson Hall (1918-1974), contains journals, correspondence of Josephine Wells Johnson, a native of Racine, Wisconsin who served as a World War I field nurse. Her correspondence describes battlefield conditions and nursing activities, as well as contacts with family and friends after her marriage. Her daybook, kept during their five years in Persia, includes observations on social life and customs, and on domestic problems.

Series XI, Photographs and Negatives, includes drawings and sketches completed by Hall as well as photographs and negatives. Photographs include scenes from his earliest hunting trips, world travels, aircraft, aerial reconnaissance, his Persia work, and also includes illustrations from his publications. Negatives include more images than the printed photographs.
Series 1: 1938-1952 and General includes a memorandum on the content of the collection, a folder of speeches, and materials related to Adlai Stevenson's 1952 Presidential campaign.
Series I: Biographical Materials includes a folder of notes written by Whiting Willauer about himself, as well as a folder of general biographical material about Willauer. Also included is a subseries of educational material, which contains correspondence and grade cards from Willauer's school days at Saint Albans, Stone School, and Princeton University.
Series III: Correspondence (1939-1962) includes both professional and personal letters. Of special interest should be Whiting Willauer's correspondence to his wife, Louise Russell Willauer. Willauer regularly wrote to his wife and shared many details of his work in China. Included in this correspondence are Louise Willauer's letters written home during the time in which she was with Whiting. The correspondence files contain most of the material held in the collection that documents Willauer's positions as United Sates Ambassador to Honduras and Costa Rica from 1954 through 1961, although there are subject files folders for both Honduras and Costa Rica.
Series IV: Diaries consists of what Willauer termed as his diaries, but are actually a catchall for Willauer's notes to himself, journal entries, rough drafts of letters and memoranda of meetings and subjects. Also included are copies of reports sent to various people in the United States such as William S. [Bill] Youngman, Thomas G. Corcoran, and Louise Willauer.
Series V: Subject Files includes files for each of Willauer's jobs, with the exception of his position as an Admiralty Lawyer at Bingham, Dana and Gould law firm in New York City (1931-1938).
Series VI: Notebooks (1942-1953) contains bound or spiral bound notebooks that have been disbound in which Willauer took notes during his day to day work. Presumably he used these notes to type up his reports, diaries and memoranda, as well as letters. Some contain lists of personal supplies and supplies that China Defense Supplies, Inc. and Civil Air Transport moved.
Series VIII: Publications (1923-1962) contains newspaper clippings; Civil Air Transport CAT Bulletins; the book A Description of Equipment and Operations, a general pictorial history with some descriptive text describing the outfit of Civil Air Transport, Inc.; a CAT maintenance manual; and the published and bound court proceedings for the lawsuit between Civil Air Transport, Inc. and Central Air Transport Corporation. There is also a folder containing pamphlets published by Willauer while he was Ambassador to Costa Rica.
