Collection Description & Creator Information
The Administrative series is arranged into two types of files, correspondence and general administrative files. Within these groupings, correspondence is divided into three chronological runs, and is arranged alphabetically by correspondent name thereunder. The general administrative files are arranged topically.
Additional transfers of records are expected from the Department of Music indefinitely.
Appraisal has been conducted in accordance with Mudd Library guidelines. Nothing was separated from the records during 2007 processing.

- Conditions Governing Access
Folders 7-14 in Box 7 which pertain to examinations contain student grades and therefore are closed for 75 years from the most recent date marked on the folder.

- Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process. Requests should be directed through the Ask Us Form.
