Abstract

Donald Worner Griffin was a member of the Princeton class of 1923. Griffin was recognized frequently by University administration as being instrumental in revitalizing alumni ties in the years after World War II, as well as helping shape the modern state of Princeton alumni relations. Consists of the personal correspondence and clippings of Donald Worner Griffin.

Consists of the personal correspondence and clippings of Donald Worner Griffin '23. Much of the material pertains to his fundraising efforts among Class of 1923 alumni. Also present are handwritten notes and letters from president Robert F. Goheen and his wife, with whom Griffin was close friends.

Griffin, Donald Worner

Donald Worner Griffin was a member of the Princeton class of 1923. While at Princeton he was president of Quadrangle Club and played center for the undefeated 1922 football team. Following graduation he served on the alumni council for 30 years, and was the secretary of that organization from 1958-1962. Griffin was recognized frequently by University administration as being instrumental in revitalizing alumni ties in the years after World War II, as well as helping shape the modern state of Princeton alumni relations.
