- Scope and Contents
The Office Files subseries contains records kept by the Office of General Counsel in regards to general University legal matters in discrimination, injury, salary, benefits, scholarships and fellowships (includes the Robertson Foundation), and various other matters involving faculty members, academic departments, and student based organizations. Files include correspondence, negotiations, bound contracts, and litigation material.
Arranged according to the Office of General Counsel's organizational system.
Periodic transfers of general records from the Office of General Counsel are expected indefinitely.

- Processing Information
This collection was processed in 2006 by Susan Hamson, Matthew Reeder, Rosalba D. Varallo, and Janaya Kizzie with the assistance of Samuel Clendon '07, Shannon DeVore '07, Page Dykstra '06, Kim Kamarebe '07, Natasha Marshall '05, Brett Masters '08, Christina McMillan '07, Lauren Ridge '08, and Devin Silva '06. Finding aid written by Rosalba D. Varallo in 2006. Series 5 added by Jessica Serrao in 2016.
There is a gap in the number sequence; there is no Box 314, and Box 167 is on loan.

- Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note, the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks to as long as several months and there may be financial costs associated with the process.
