- Description:
The Office of the President Records, Shirley Tilghman Subgroup documents the administration of Princeton's 19th president, Shirley Tilghman, through correspondence, memoranda, press releases, and other materials. Also present are records documenting Tilghman's interactions with students, faculty, staff, and various academic departments.

- Archival Appraisal Information:
Appraisal has been conducted in accordance with Seeley G. Mudd Manuscript Library guidelines. No material was separated during accessioning in 2013, 2015, or 2018. Separation status for 2017 is unknown.
Access & Use
- Access Restrictions:
Records are closed for 30 years from the date of their creation. Materials older than 30 years that do not pertain to student academic performance, trustee issues, or faculty personnel matters are open.

Single photocopies may be made for research purposes. For quotations that are fair use as defined under U. S. Copyright Law, no permission to cite or publish is required. The Trustees of Princeton University hold copyright to all materials generated by Princeton University employees in the course of their work.
