    <head>Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements</head>
<p>For preservation reasons, original analog
and digital media may not be read or played back in the
reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media
but may not remove it from its enclosure. All analog
audiovisual media must be digitized to preservation-quality
standards prior to use. Audiovisual digitization requests
are processed by an approved third-party vendor. Please note,
the transfer time required can be as little as several weeks
to as long as several months and there may be financial costs
associated with the process.

    <head>Content Description</head>
<p>The lecture notebooks contain transcriptions of college lectures and seminar discussions, along with some interviews conducted for the Daily Princetonian. Course notes include courses taught by John Fleming, Robert Darnton, Maria DiBattista, Uli Knoepflmacher, Robert Fagles, Edwin Williams, Daphne Brooks and Valerie Smith. Reporting notes for the Daily Princetonian include notes on John Conway and other mathematicians, Christopher Eisgruber as Provost, and Nancy Malkiel as Dean of the College. Topics covered in the notebooks include bicker, rowing, the 2004 presidential election, college Republicans, a Harry Potter book club, and many others.</p>  </scopecontent>

<p>Light mold spots on the volume beginning with "Newton's 1st Law" were checked in July, 2022 at preservation and conservation. The mold was not active.</p>  </phystech>
