Jeri Schaefer h69 was the executive director of PICS at the time of the transition and had custody of PICS operational records. Budgetary documentation, annual reports, grant information, and photographs of past interns and events make up the bulk of the records
- Collection Creator Biography:
Princeton Internships in Civic Services (PICS), formerly the Class of 1969 Community Service Fund, was founded by the Princeton Class of 1969 in 1996. PICS operated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and was run by a board of trustees consisting of representatives from multiple Classes and an executive director.
PICS focused on providing Princeton undergraduate students with internships with non-profit organizations in the healthcare, environmental, and education sectors. Each intern was paired with a community partner and an alumni mentor for the summer. In April 2020, PICS became a part of Princeton University through the John H. Pace '39 Center for Civic Engagement. The Class of 1969 and other alumni who helped build PICS are still involved through the Alumni Advisory Council.

Internship evaluations, banking information, IRS information, passwords, and empty directories were removed from records.
Access & Use

For preservation reasons, original analog and digital media may not be read or played back in the reading room. Users may visually inspect physical media but may not remove it from its enclosure.
