- Description:
The collection consists of a wide range of published and unpublished manuscripts of Godwin (Princeton Class of 1834), including History of France, A New Study of the Sonnets of Shakespeare, A Playspell Abroad, Teachers of the Ninetheenth Century (three chapters of this projected book), numerous essays (several on the Civil War period), four plays, five stories, two folders of poetry, and notes and fragments for other works. In addition, the collection houses a folder of correspondence, a list of sub-committees for the American Committee of the Statue of Liberty, and six folders of unidentified papers of others.
