A copy of a deed granting land from Waweyjask, Waskonahtaw, Nieshawand, Toweeckwa, Mansshim and Onackhponqguam to Edward Earle, Jr. of the County of Bergen and his heirs. The land described includes portions of Morris County along the Rockaway, a tract "beginning at Rockawak River a little below Rockawak at a certain marked tree and from thence upon a southwest and by west line drawn to Mechwikponing River River and so down said River until it comes to the mouth of Rockawak River above said and thence up said Rockawak River until it comes to the place where it first began." These lands are part of the ancestral territory of the Munsee people.

Munsee witnesses represented in this document include: Taphow, Wauyasteen, Materas, and Pomiechowar. Settler witnesses represented in this document include: Isaiah Bartlet and Robert Love.

This deed, a copy of the original, records an event that took place on July 29, 1702, and was entered into the records of the Province of New Jersey by William Pinhorn on November 29, 1709. The copy was made by Joseph Bonnel, Justice of the Supreme Court of the province of New Jersey, at an unknown date.
