This item was part of the Cyrus H. McCormick, Jr. (1859-1936) (Class of 1879) collection that his widow, Alice H. Brown (1881-1950), initially deposited in March 1947 and then gifted to the Library in January 1948 (AM 13365).
- Custodial History
Cyrus H. McCormick purchased the letter in 1929 from the dealer F.H. Sweet.
